Venetian Causeway Will Be Closed To Traffic For "One Month" - Important Meeting

The East Bridge will be closed for one month (that's the schedule, at least).

The County will be running an important information meeting THIS THURSDAY at the Botanical Gardens.

The Venetian Bridges Rehabilitation project will be issued a Notice to Proceed on April 13, 2009. A Community Meeting will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, 2000 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33109, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The meeting is to provide project specifics including, construction schedule and the closure of the east bascule bridge, which will require a detour to the MacArthur Causeway. A meeting prior to the start of construction was not feasible due to the upcoming religious holidays. A project Fact Sheet with project details and an invitation letter to the residents regarding the April 16 meeting will be distributed this week.
